To be or not to be a police officer is a question every young person who is even remotely interested in law enforcement should ask themselves. It's not just about the scrutiny that goes into every shot fired, it's the scrutiny that comes as a result of those less-than-desirable officers of the law who bend and fragment the laws they themselves swore to uphold.
And what about the pensions and the salaries that some actually think are exorbitant, considering police officers risk their lives 24-7. Those salaries come at a very high cost to members of our brotherhood and to those of their families.
Would you, as a current police officer, reconsider law enforcement at this moment in time?
